The Groundwork Pro team past and present ❤️ …some words from Jessie Brett

‘I’m so proud to be one of the founder members with Deborah Light, Beth Powlesland, Joanna Young and Chloe Loftus. We all had a longing for professional development activities and decided to try to take some action. We had no idea the directions our lives would take in the following years.

Now we have one in New Zealand, one in Ethiopia, one in Bristol and one shortly moving to Manchester. What a network!!! And it’s time for Deborah Light, Lara Ward and Zosia Jo (welcome) to continue the work we began.

We will all stay closely connected to Groundwork in a more advisory capacity and are so proud of what we have achieved.

Cheers to you wonderful women, you’ve taught me so much and been such a joy to work with. I never imagined working with a team of such generous, talented, capable, supportive and caring people. I honestly think this experience has shaped how I want to work in the future, now I know it’s possible. It just shows what happens when women get together. We can achieve and care for each other at the same time. What an honour.

Thank you to the Arts Council of Wales for supporting our vision, as well as all the partners organisations who make it all possible. And of course the dancers who attend (keep coming because without you we would not be able to continue). ‘
