Lara Ward is a performer, practitioner, film maker and movement director from Wales.

Ongoing projects include Ways of Being together with Jo Fong at Shoreditch Town Hall in February 2020, Caroline Sabin’s Mysterious Maude’s Chambers of Fantastical Truth in Autumn 2020, film collaborations with Sion Orgon and Laura Moy and festival events with Kitsch n Sync.

Lara toured theatre extensively as a performer with award winning Earthfall Dance, (2008 – 2015) and in site located works for National Theatre Wales with {150} & Branches, Light Ladd and Emberton and Caroline Sabin.

Lara contributes to Arts in Health practice through delivering movement projects with older people and people with dementia for Motion Control Dance in the Vale of Glamorgan, and through Aleksandra Jones’ Gravida Project, embodying maternal mental health through performance and creative exploration.

Lara has 20 years experience developing, managing and delivering dance and arts projects for organisations and educational institutions across Wales and the UK. She joined the Groundwork team in Summer 2017.
