My name is Elan Elidyr, originally from Talybont near Aberystwyth, now living in Cardiff. I was lucky enough to study Contemporary Dance at Rubicon Dance in Cardiff and Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich. Since graduating in 2018 I have been working as a freelance contemporary dancer, having been able to perform in many different cities across Europe in a site-specific performance by Comp:Art. I now work closer to home and was lucky enough to be a part of NTW’s new creation Hail Cremation and also work on a Welsh language Christmas show by Theatr Clwyd in partnership with Pontio, Bangor called Y Trôl Nath Ddwyn y Dolig.I was also awarded a competitive bursary by Anglesey-based theatre company Frân Wen in 2018 to develop my own multi-disciplinary dance project incorporating live Welsh-language music, which I am currently developing further with an Arts Council of Wales grant.
