After over two years of discussions, deliberations and a bit of hard graft, Groundwork Pro has finally taken shape! Beth, Jessie, Joanna, Deborah and Chloe have formed the artist-led collective and will soon be rolling out a packed 6-month pilot programme of events across the city.

Cardiff is a thriving capital city which boasts a strong creative community with a breadth of freelance dancers and choreographers. Since the untimely demise of the invaluable Welsh Independent Dance and Community Dance Wales, Cardiff has lacked a significant level of professional development opportunities to nurture and inspire the dance community here.

With huge thanks to support from Arts Council of Wales, organisations and venues across Wales,  all that is about to change as we are inviting over 24 revered practitioners to lead classes, workshops, seminars and discussions across the city… and we’re really excited!

We hope you’ll join us to celebrate at our launch event as we’d love you to hear what we’ve got planned, listen to any suggestions you may have and help shape the future of this programme. Without you, this venture is nothing, so in order to ensure the success and future provision of this programme, please do come along to the classes and events and make the most of this rich opportunity.

See you there!
