This is a two-day workshop, being held in partnership with Dawns i Bawb at Galeri Caernarfon, North Wales.
Please note, there are limited places available to book on to the first day only.
The River, our fluid bodies
A 2-day movement workshop that takes its motivation from Caernarfon’s two rivers; a place of confluence, a place shaped by the movements and boundaries of water and the possibilities of fluidity- of identity, of transition and travel, of wildness and drift…
Working both in the studio and through moving with the rivers and their edges we will develop scores, movements and spaces to explore the relational field between the river and our own fluid bodies.

‘This workshop gives time to examine one’s practice in relation to the affect of local phenomena and the ideas of others. It offers support in sourcing choreographic material and movement resources from a river’s movement and influence on a place, its people and ecosystem.

Both days will offer opportunities to work both in the studio and outdoors. The working process will be accumulative, developing movement scores and building micro environments in the studio, influenced by our time working by and through observing the rivers.’
