This coming Tuesday Arts Council Wales released details of their plans for a resilience fund for Wales based individual artists and organisations. This comes after Arts Council England and Creative Scotland initiated similar funds to support their respective communities.
We propose an open (online) conversation to discuss the schemes, pool questions and share information. Groundwork won’t necessarily have answers but will clarify what we can. If necessary we propose to act on behalf of the dance community collect your queries, put them forward to ACW, and then of course feedback to you.
We appreciate the urgency of many people’s need for support right now and expect the timeline of these grants to be quick, hence the need for collective thinking. We see value in connecting with other dancers and makers to make sense of it all and so that we can advocate for you. With this in mind we ask that everyone wanting to attend reads the guidelines fully before the event.
