Groundhub have invited Marega Palser to facilitate a MarkMaking / Moving Workshop

Sunday 24th July, 10am – 4pm at The Dance House, Cardiff

MarkMaking / Moving

This is NoT about drawing,
more about what happens when we put a mark on a blank piece of paper. . . similar to when we put our body into a blank space.
What sort of mark do we make ?
What sort of mark do we want to make ?
Does one mark call for a response by making another mark, and another….. or does one say all the things you want to express. … …
This workshop is about releasing your inner scribbler.
It will test dexterity , ask you to LooK consciously and draw unconsciously.
Where does the mark take your body ?
Where does your body take the mark ?
We will attempt a choreography for the body through mark making and mapping.
Hopefully this workshop will silence that voice….the one that tells you ” you can’t draw…! “
Materials will be supplied but if there are any materials of your own you would like to bring, please do.
Please DO bring an Open mind.
