Live practice with Kim Noble August 7th 2020, 10.00 – 11.00

Live practice is donation based. If you have income at the moment donations are welcome but we do not expect payment from freelancers whose income has been disrupted by COVID 19.

About this event

This session is part of Groundwork’s 2020 Arts Council of Wales Stabilisation, funded programme. Live physical practice classes will happen monthly with Wales based artists until December 2020.

Please email groundworkprocardiff@gmail.com to book your place. We will then email you with the zoom link and password to access the session. Please let us know your access needs with sufficient notice so that we can best accommodate you.

Class Description

Kim’s class will be a flowing, fun and opening practice, a chance to get into our bodies and come together and dance. It will be an hour-long zoom class that will fit between the furniture from the comforts of our own homes! Using a mix of contemporary technique and flowing phrases the emphasis is on enjoyment and a sense of freedom through the body.

This practice is suitable for those with some movement experience and experienced movement practitioners/dancers

When joining online workshops on Zoom:

Live practice is a moment for us to connect. The Zoom room will be open 15 minutes before and remain open for 15 minutes after the session to allow for social time. 

  • Set up: prepare a place in your home where you can move, and where you can be seen.
  • You will need a clean, uncluttered space where you can lie on the floor. The class will be adapted for domestic spaces: living rooms and such spaces are fine!
  • We ask that you “mute” yourself at all times, unless you are asked to verbally participate.
  • Use the chat function to communicate with the class and/or teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

Participants will undertake the activity at their own risk and will be responsible for their own safety while taking part in these classes; Groundwork will not be responsible.
