Thursday 16th July, 4pm – 5.30pm – Zoom

(Groundwork is supporting this meeting via administration and marketing/communication to freelancers).
We are inviting freelance dance artists/practitioners and choreographers to an open meeting to discuss your needs, to enable us to bring your voices and concerns to the table. We are connecting with other freelancers in the UK wide taskforce and the Wales taskforce and working to make the needs of the freelance dance community in Wales heard by Arts Council Wales/Welsh Assembly Government/Arts Portfolio Wales organisations and other industry bodies.
At the meeting we will ask two key questions:
- What do you need to be able to continue to work as a dance artist in Wales and thrive in your practice?
- What action can we take (as individuals, within the taskforce and as a community) to make this happen?
This is a chance for us to hear what you need. We will make space for everyone to be heard and responses will be time limited to ensure that.
We welcome dance/movement artists from all over Wales, of diverse heritage, from all dance styles or movement practices and of diverse ability.
Please let us know your access needs with sufficient notice so that we can best accommodate you.
We are also available to have one to one conversations or you are welcome to message us about your needs or ideas for the future. Contact us individually or at:
