The focus of class will be on accessing our individual movement patterns, progressing on to exploring simple exercises to come into contact. Working with imagery to discover freedom in motion. Exploring the ‘Animal Spine’, spiral pathways and building momentum.

Exercises will alternate between contact and solo work to connect both to oneself and to the group as a whole. Creating an open, yet held and focused environment where participants can feel totally free to explore. Emphasis will move on to improvised duets where we learn some pathways and techniques to enter and leave a dance.

Following a short break, the 2nd session will be a Jam. This is a focused space where participants are free to explore the form in their own way. There will be a short physical introduction to ‘tune in’ as a group then the space will be free for dancing for around 2 hours.

This is a space to connect with the joy, freedom and connection we can experience in movement with others.

Sat 10th December, 1 – 5pm @ University South Wales, Atrium.

Email to reserve your place.

*Feel free to join both sessions or either class or JAM.
