Zosia Jo started her training at The Place, London and graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance in 2008, subsequently completing Dance Research Studio’s  Speaking Dancer program. She focused on choreography from the outset of her career and started her company Joon Dance in 2009 with the aim of bringing professional dance performance closer to communities. Her choreography brings together her multidisciplinary interests of spoken word, theatre and dance. Zosia’s work has been performed all over the UK including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Chisenhale Dance, The Place, Blue Elephant Theatre, Dance House Cardiff, Sherman Theatre, Chapter Arts Centre and Torch Theatre. Having been working in Cairo since 2014, Zosia has created two works with Egyptian dancers Like Sand and Songs (2014) and Ancient Modernity (2015)
