Cai Tomos is movement artist and choreographer. He has worked both nationally and internationally as dancer, choreographer and movement director. His work is influenced by his preoccupation with developing the capacity to listen to energy, both individual and collective, and to harness this energy for full expression in our movement.
His work includes performance and instillation. He has worked within the fields of dance, performance, education, mental health, and community arts, in the UK. His work is deeply rooted in exploring notions of energy and memory within the body with reference to the personal and the collective stories, which the body holds. Improvisational dance practices are the foundation of his creative process. Participatory dance practice is also at the heart of his work, alongside his solo performance work. Cai works with people of all ages facilitating creative process with deep emphasis on supporting the development body-mind awareness.
